Our Team

Coordinating care takes contribution from many. From the time that you call for an appointment, until you are seen and your care plan developed, there are many involved in your care.

  • Sandy Schwark, RN, BSN. Sandy is not only the Office Manager, but, is a registered nurse, who specializes in the navigation of the breast patient. She is the ‘touch point’ for all patients seen in the office. Sandy has established working relationships with other providers and their staffs, as well as, departments within Beaumont Hospital.  These relationships allow for the establishment of coordinated treatment plans, in an orderly, expedited fashion.
  • Why is navigation an important component of cancer care?           Dr. Gold is interviewed regarding nurse navigation in breast cancer.
  • Medical Assistants. Medical assistants meet and greet all patients seen in the office. They obtain medical information from the patients, including risk assessment, family history, and other details to help make the visit meaningful.  The Medial Assistants also provide assistance during office procedures, including core biopsies.
  • Surgical Scheduling. When surgery is required, our well trained surgical scheduling staff will make the process easy. We will take care of not only scheduling your procedure, but, also, manage the needs of your insurance company to obtain authorization.

  • Front Desk Staff. These staff members are the first ‘touch point’ within our practice. They will not only schedule your appointment, but, help to assure that all the critical information (test results, films, pathology slides) necessary to have a quality office visit, are available for review on the day of your visit.
